Fast rising Ghanaian Rapper Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, known as Yaw Tog has subtly replied his critics with early morning Koko as he happily sips like no one’s business.
Yaw Tog is currently in hot soups after saying on Live Tv that, He made Stormzy popular in Ghana after their song, ‘Sore Remix’ hit a million views on Youtube.
The rapper who shot to fame after his song, Sore with the Asakaa boys went viral and became the talk of town a few months ago.
In a video sighted by Ghanaian blogger, King Bygone, Yaw Tog was asked if putting Stormzy on a song has made him more popular, according Yaw Tog, Stormzy made him more popularly in the entertainment industry, yet he also made Stormzy more recognized in Ghana because people didn’t much about him in Ghana, and they both did magic to themselves.
Yaw Tog’s answer has raised confusion among fans on social Media platforms, including top industry players.
see few comments below;
To be plain , Stormzy was already popular here in Ghana before he jumped on Yaw Tog ‘s Sore. If he wanted to be more popular in Ghana as Yaw Tog claims anka he would either put Kwesi Arthur , Medikal, Sarkodie or Even Kuame Eugene on a Song.
I agree with Yaw Tog cos personally I didn’t know Stormzy till the sore remix
Yaw Tog’s comments about making Stomzy popular in GH are the kind that unfortunately encourage selfish behavior in the industry.. If u know what it takes to be a mainstream artist in the UK and play listed into other parts of europe, u won’t loose talk.. Smh.. Focus on ur music
But on a real, what Yaw Tog said be some hard truth though. Few people knew Stormzy back then, he made him more popular in Ghana. You can’t do him anything
Well, Yaw Tog’s reply has really gotten on the nerves of lost of people raising backlashes here and there on Social Media.
Yet, in a live Instagram video sighted and recorded by Ghanaian Blogger King Bygone, Yaw Tog seems careless about what people are talking about as he sips his morning hausa koko and he listens to the song.
